Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the program for the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Mohammad Abunayyan, co-chairman of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council and chairman of ACWA Power.

During the meeting, they discussed the expansion of cooperation with Saudi companies, particularly in the context of ongoing investment projects.

President Mirziyoyev highlighted the successful partnership with ACWA Power, emphasizing the company’s significant role in attracting Saudi investments to Uzbekistan.

Agreements were reached to expedite joint projects in energy, transportation, information technology, healthcare, as well as in modernizing heating infrastructure, water management, and agriculture.

Following the meeting, the president concluded his visit to Samarkand and returned to Tashkent.
