President of Uzbekistan leaves for Tokyo

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov left with an official visit for Tokyo on 8 February on the invitation of the Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan.

During the visit, issues of expansion and deepening of the Uzbek-Japanese cooperation, as well as important problems of regional and international character will be considered, UzA reported.

Signing of a number of bilateral documents aimed at deepening interaction between the two states in various areas is planned.
