President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov left for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 15 August, Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) reported.

The head of the state will participate in the regular session of the council of heads of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.

Apart from presidents of Uzbekistan, China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan d Kyrgyzstan, representatives of observers – Iran, Mongolia, India and Pakistan – are expected to attend the meeting.
