Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 December, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state warmly congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, great success, peace, and prosperity to the fraternal Kyrgyz people.

During the conversation, current issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed, and the schedule of upcoming events was considered.

The leaders noted with special satisfaction the current high dynamics of the development of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations, based on strong ties of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership.

Active contacts and fruitful exchanges at various levels continue. Trade turnover volumes are growing. Joint cooperation projects in engineering, electrical engineering, textiles, agriculture, and other industries are being implemented.

Within the framework of the activities of the joint Uzbek-Kyrgyz Fund, 11 promising business projects have been financed.

Interregional and cultural-humanitarian interaction is expanding.

The heads of states also exchanged views on regional cooperation issues, emphasizing the importance of accelerating infrastructure projects.
