Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 May, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman of the Egyptian company Orascom Investment Holding, Naguib Sawiris, who is in our country to participate in the third Tashkent International Investment Forum.

During the meeting, issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and promoting joint cooperation projects in accordance with previously reached agreements were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of attracting direct investment to the implementation of projects in various sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan, including the mining industry, food production, tourism, construction, infrastructure development and others.

Naguib Sawiris expressed his readiness to make every effort to increase Egyptian investment in the economy of our country.
