Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 March, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Suma Chakrabarti, Advisor on Economic Development, Effective Governance, and International Cooperation.

The meeting focused on key priorities for the advisor’s work in 2025. Special attention was given to promoting Uzbekistan’s investment potential on the international stage, finalizing the country’s accession to the World Trade Organization, and enhancing the qualifications of civil servants through training at leading foreign institutions.

The importance of successfully organizing upcoming investment roadshows and the Tashkent International Investment Forum, with the participation of major foreign companies and financial institutions, was emphasized.

The parties also discussed the launch of the Tashkent International Commercial Court under the International Digital Technology Center, measures to strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in international rankings, and the implementation of fundamental research in the field of economic development.
