Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – During the latest Consultative Meeting, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the Honorary Medal of the Heads of Central Asian States for outstanding contributions to the development of friendship, good neighborliness, and mutual understanding among the region's countries.

Expressing gratitude to the leaders of Central Asian countries, President Mirziyoyev emphasized that this highest honor recognizes the collective achievements in strengthening regional cooperation and strategic partnership among the nations.

"Thanks to political will and joint efforts, Central Asia is becoming a space for good neighborliness, mutually beneficial cooperation, and sustainable development," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his speech.

As a result of coordinated efforts, trade and investment volumes have significantly increased, large-scale cooperation projects are being implemented, cross-border trade zones are being established, and modern transport and energy infrastructure is being developed. 

There is a growing sense of commonality and regional identity. Most importantly, these positive changes are being felt in the daily lives of the region's citizens.

It was noted that with strengthened international relevance and high attractiveness, the region is becoming a center of economic activity and a transport-communication bridge connecting East and West, North and South.

President Mirziyoyev particularly highlighted that the systematic implementation of important initiatives and decisions has made the process of regional integration sustainable, consistent, and irreversible.

In closing, Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again thanked his colleagues for the high award and assured that transforming Central Asia into a peaceful and prosperous region will always be a priority of Uzbekistan’s foreign policy.
