Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Ashgabat for a working visit.

He was greeted at the airport by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atakhallyyev and other officials.

The main events are scheduled for tomorrow, 11 October.

The leader of Uzbekistan will speak at the plenary session of the International Forum "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations — the Foundation of Peace and Development," dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fragi.

In addition, the president will hold a series of bilateral meetings as part of the event’s program.
