President of Uzbekistan arrives in France for a state visit
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Paris for a state visit.
Upon arrival, the Uzbek leader was welcomed at the airport by Élisabeth Borne, Minister of National Education, Higher Education, and Research of France, General Loïc Mizon, Commander of the Paris Military District, and other French officials.
In honor of the distinguished guest, the national flags of Uzbekistan and France were raised at the honorary pavilion of Orly International Airport, and a guard of honor was assembled.
At the residence of the Uzbek delegation, Uzbek students, professionals, and scholars living in France warmly welcomed President Mirziyoyev. He engaged in a heartfelt conversation with them, extending his best wishes for their academic and professional endeavors.
The main events of the visit are scheduled for 12 March.
According to the program, high-level talks between Uzbekistan and France will take place at the Élysée Palace.
Additionally, President Mirziyoyev is set to meet with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay and participate in a roundtable discussion with representatives of leading French companies and banks.
