Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in Almaty on a working visit.

At the airport, President Mirziyoyev was welcomed by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In honor of the Uzbek leader’s arrival, a guard of honor was assembled, and national flags were raised.

Today, the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will hold an informal meeting. The agenda includes expanding practical cooperation in trade, industrial collaboration, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, and water management, as well as strengthening interregional ties and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.

The two leaders will also exchange views on international affairs and regional cooperation.
