President of Uzbekistan approves framework agreement with EBRD

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 June 2017, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a framework agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on holding operation on Ecological Rehabilitation Account for Central Asia in Uzbekistan.

The document was signed in Tashkent on 16 March 2017 during the visit of the EBRD delegation headed by President Suma Chakrabarti.

Uzbek leader determined the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Geological Exploration of Subsoil, Safe Management of Work in Industry, Mining and Public Utilities Sector under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan as the competent body responsible for the implementation of the international treaty.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send a relevant notification on the implementation of the domestic procedures by Uzbekistan, necessary for the entry into force of the international treaty.
