Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved an agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Russia on the mutual application of electronic systems for certification of the origin of goods.

The document was signed on 2 December 2022 in Samarkand as part of the 3rd meeting of the joint commission at the level of the heads of government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation

According to the document, electronic certification systems are created in order to ensure that the customs authority of the country of importation of goods can verify the fact of issuing a certificate of origin of goods of the ST-1 form, information about which is declared during customs declaration, and the correctness of its completion without the need to submit the original of the specified certificate to paper media.
