President of Turkmenistan receives Uzbek ambassador
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Sherzod Fayziev, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan, State News Agency of Turkmenistan said.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the guest congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the re-election for a second term and wished the Turkmen leader strong health and new outstanding achievements in his noble work in the name of prosperity of Turkmenistan and steadily growth of the Turkmen people’s wellbeing.

The diplomat noted that Uzbekistan highly appreciated and supported the policy pursued by the Turkmen leader as well as international initiatives put forward by the President of Turkmenistan with the aim to enhance peace, stability and wellbeing in the Central Asian region and the whole world as well.

Greeting the guest, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that Turkmenistan paid particular attention to developing comprehensive relations with our neighbours, including Uzbekistan that had been bounded with our state with common borders and the community of culture, language and traditions since ancient times.

Underlining with satisfaction the high level of the Turkmen-Uzbek partnership that received a powerful incentive for development within the last years, the President of Turkmenistan thanked Sherzod Fayziev for the efficient work in Turkmenistan and his personal contribution to strengthening the dialogue of friendship and long-term cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual interest.

The diplomat, in his turn, expressed deep gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his support provided to development of the Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue that had entered into a qualitatively new level within the last years.

Underlining the high dynamics of bilateral relations, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan noted that within the last three-four years the bilateral trade had increased as much as four times that testified to the mutual interest and close joint work carried out by the two countries.
