Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Uzbekistan on a state visit, the Kremlin press service said,

On 21 May, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the Russian leader.

According to the Kremlin, preparations for the upcoming visit were discussed. The parties also discussed practical aspects of the further development of bilateral cooperation, including issues of trade and economics.

Vladimir Putin also shared his impressions of recent negotiations in Beijing with the Chinese leadership.

Both sides confirmed their desire to consistently strengthen relations of alliance and strategic partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan.
