Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a law on the ratification of an agreement on the establishment of a plant for the production of cars and commercial vehicles jointly with Uzbekistan.

According to the press service of the head of Kyrgyzstan, the ratification of this agreement will allow the implementation of an investment project to organize the assembly production of passenger and commercial vehicles in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The enterprise will be built in Ak-Su village, 50 km from Bishkek, and will include 19 types of vehicles, such as minibuses, pickups and sedans.

The project is managed by Uzavtosanoat on behalf of Uzbekistan, and DT Technik LLC and Nur JSC on behalf of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The construction of the plant will take place in three stages. At the first stage, SKD assembly of up to 10,000 vehicles per year will be launched, and in the future, the production of equipment will be increased to 20,000 -30,000 units per year.
