President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev made a stopover in the capital of Uzbekistan on his way from Iran on 16 October.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov met President of Kazakhstan in the Tashkent city airport.

During the meeting the two leaders exchanged views on the issues of development of cooperation between the two states and other issues of mutual interest.
