Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Victory Park and laid flowers at the Ode to Fortitude memorial complex.

The memorial, erected on the initiative of the head of our state, reflects the great hardships of our people, their struggle for peace and their great contribution to victory in the war. During these holidays, the park is especially crowded.

9 May - Day of memory and honor is widely celebrated throughout the country. In accordance with the presidential decree, the participants of the Second World War are encouraged. Their health is under constant attention.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of ministries and departments that are part of the Armed Forces, government organizations. They also laid flowers at the memorial.
