Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered to reduce the number of deputy heads in the economic complex by 15%.

During the meeting on the government’s priorities for economic development this year, it was noted that last year the country’s economy grew by 6 percent. This year, ambitious goals for further development are being set.

There are 40 deputy heads, working in the economic complex. However, according to management, the current situation requires more modern thinking and efficiency in decision-making.

Some deputy heads are criticized for passivity and lack of responsibility.

The head of state instructed to review the system and prepare a proposal to reduce the number of deputy heads in the economic complex by 15%.

It was noted that it is necessary to clearly define the duties and responsibilities of heads and deputies in each district, region, as well as in 11 ministries and departments. It is necessary to set strict requirements for them.

The meeting emphasized that the topic of the economic complex is a priority, and in the future a critical analysis of the activities of all industries and areas will be carried out.
