At the meeting with farmers and officials of the region at Avazbek Umarov farm in Akaltin district, Islam Karimov said Uzbekistan selected correct development way.

Uzbek leader said that there were difficulties, but I can say with assurance that it was correct way – not revolutionary, but evolutional.

President Islam Karimov said that current global economic and financial crisis helped to open eyes to many things and showed who is who. Foreign debt of many European and Asian countries exceed their GDP, he said.

Uzbek leader added that the volume of external debt of Uzbekistan makes up 10-12% from GDP and Uzbekistan can be proud of it.
