Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by his decree, expanded the list of goods upon the purchase of which citizens included in the Unified Register of Social Protection are refunded value added tax (VAT).

From 1 May 2023, citizens included in the Unified Register of Social Protection receive a VAT refund (12%) when purchasing meat, eggs and butter.

Individuals included in the “Unified Register of Social Protection” will receive VAT refunds for 4 more types of goods (flour, sugar, medicines and medical services).

Citizens from the “Unified Register of Social Protection” will receive a refund of VAT on purchases in the amount of 3.4 million soums per month (10 basic estimated value).
