Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting in Tashkent region on 2 August, ordered the dismissal of 17 first deputies of khokims.

During the meeting, the head of Uzbekistan stated that the level of poverty remains high in Bekabad, Buka, Koshkupyr, Shakhrikhan, Kanlykul, Takhtakupyr, Chimbay, Mirzaabad, Bagat, Ulugnor, Khodjeyli and Shumanai regions.

The head of Uzbekistan criticized the work to provide the population with employment through the development of entrepreneurship in Mirzachul, Dustlik and Turakurgan regions, as well as the city of Namangan.

The President instructed to dismiss the first deputies of khokims of Namangan, as well as the 15 districts listed above.

The President also instructed to dismiss the first deputy khokim of Tashkent region, khokims and heads of sectors of Kibray and Yangiyul districts. He also issued a reprimand to two other deputy khokims of Tashkent region.
