President briefed on measures to ensure implementation of state budget

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with information on measures to ensure the implementation of the "State Budget Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025," which includes 17 articles and 10 annexes outlining the key economic indicators for the year.

It is expected that Uzbekistan’s GDP will grow by 6% in 2025. The consolidated budget has been approved with a 3% deficit relative to GDP, with revenues estimated at 431 trillion soums and expenditures at 480.5 trillion soums.

The state budget and the budgets of state-targeted funds have been formed with a deficit of 2% relative to GDP. The state budget's revenues are projected at 308.5 trillion soums, while expenditures are estimated at 344.8 trillion soums, including transfers to state-targeted funds.

Forecasts for 2025 also foresee that the budget revenues for the Republic of Karakalpakstan and local budgets will amount to 65.8 trillion soums, with expenditures reaching 84.3 trillion soums. Additionally, interbudgetary transfers amounting to 18.5 trillion soums are expected.

In line with the social orientation of the budget, 52% of the total funds in the state budget will be allocated to education, healthcare, social protection, development of science, culture, sports, and providing housing for low-income citizens.

To increase local budget revenues, taxes such as turnover tax, land tax, and property tax for legal entities have been earmarked, along with 50% of revenues from personal income taxes and privatization of state property.

Local councils (Kengash) have been granted the authority to apply coefficients to certain types of taxes.

Overall, the state budget for 2025 will focus on economic development, addressing social issues, and improving the welfare of the population.
