Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Samarkand region on October 16 to participate in the anniversary session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization.

Upon arrival, the head of our state visited the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari. Surahs from the Koran and duas were read.

The renovation of the complex is currently ongoing. The President got acquainted with the progress of construction and finishing work.

During the visit, the head of our state will speak at the opening of the main UNWTO summit. It is also planned to hold a meeting with the Secretary General of the organization Zurab Pololikashvili and get acquainted with the exhibition of the tourism industry.
