Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan organized the programme in partnership with German International Cooperation’s (GIZ) Programme “Assistance to regional economic cooperation in Central Asia”. The programme is implemented since 2009.

The programme is aimed at increasing competitiveness of producers from Uzbekistan in internal and external market due to raising goods quality, labour productivity and effective production organization, decreasing expenses at minimal capital investments.

The programme is also directed at increasing accessibility of quality consulting services and informing business on effective business processes and introduction of “Kaizen/Economic Production”.

The programme has been held since October 2009. Over 100 representatives of industrial enterprises participated in seminars on Kaizen, as well as Kaizen has been introduced at six enterprises, and local consultants on Kaizen were trained.

Next step of the programme started in September 2011 and it consists of two modules – training of local consultants “Kaizen/Economic Production” on the base of pilot enterprise and integrated introduction of “Kaizen/Economic Production” and quality management system ISO 9001. Selection of consultants and pilot enterprises for participation at the programme was held on competitive bases. It is planned to hold training for 12 business consultants and introduce Kaizen at five enterprises of Uzbekistan from September 2011 to May 2012.

On 5-16 September, two-week training on preparing local business consultants will be held at UZTEX Tashkent LLC.

The progamme includes training of local consultants and personnel of enterprises on “Kaizen/Economic Production” principles, develop recommendations on optimization of business processes of enterprises, as well as practical introduction of “Kaizen/Economic Production” tools at the enterprises.

Training is organized by Russian company Arsenal Uspeha, rendering services on introduction of “Kaizen/Economic Production”
