According to Uzbektourism, the guide is published within the series “Russian guide. Polyglot” on order of Marakanda Expedition in cooperation with Ajax-Press. The guide is designed for Russian tourists and tourism companies.
The circulation of the guide is 10,000 copies. The illustrated guide will be published in September 2015. The guide will be realized via Russian book shops and book networks, retail supermarkets, internet shops, duty-free shops at airports, etc.
The book has 140 pages and provides information on tourism routes and sights of Uzbekistan, hotels, museums, restaurants, culture of Uzbekistan, as well as practical advices.
The guide consists of three chapters. The first chapter “Planning of travel” will allow Russian tourists to familiarize with nature, tourism season, transport system of Uzbekistan, etc.
The chapter “Country and people” has information on country, nature, culture, art and religion, national traditions, national food and drinks, holidays and festivals.
The chapter “Routes in Uzbekistan” includes information on nine routes, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, mountain resorts of Tashkent, Ferghana valley, Zaamin and Aydarkul. The guide includes maps of Uzbekistan and Tashkent.
