Economy 22/10/2015 Presentation of China Southern Airlines takes place in Tashkent
Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing of China Southern Airline Xu Jian Min
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- China Southern Airline, a largest airline of China, held a presentation of its services in Tashkent on 21 October 2015.

Representatives of tour companies, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, the Government of Uzbekistan and partners of China Southern Airlines participated in the event.

During the presentation, the officials of the Chinese airline presented opportunities of the company on transportation of the passengers. China Southern Airlines currently carries out two flights a week on direction Tashkent – Beijing – Tashkent and two flights a week on direction Tashkent – Urumqi – Tashkent.

The passengers, flying to Urumqi and Beijing, can fly to over 30 Chinese cities, countries of Australia, Europe, America, Southern-Eastern Asia, Japan and Korea.

China Southern Airline provides good and convenient services for transit passengers at airports of Urumqi and Beijing, including lounge for rest of passengers, free accommodation at hotels, etc.

At the presentation, Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing of China Southern Airline Xu Jian Min expressed gratitude to the coordination and aid to the Government of Uzbekistan, Chinese Embassy in Tashkent, administration of civil aviation and Uzbekiston Havo Yollari, friends and clients of the Chinese company.

He said that China Southern Airlines has large airplanes fleet and developed network of flights, as well as the largest passenger turnover compared to other Chinese airlines.

He said that the airline has 600 passenger and cargo airplanes such as Boeing 787, 777, 747 757 and 737, Airbus А380, 330, 321, 320, 319. The airline holds the first place in Asia and the fifth in the world on number of planes. The airline became one of the first airlines, which started to use АЗ80 and Boeing 787 planes.

The airline carries out 2000 flights a day to over 190 directions into 40 countries and regions of the world. He said that the airline is a member of Sky Team alliance and it allows to expand net of flights of China Southern Airlines to 1,052 directions in 177 countries and the regions of the world.

In 2014, the airline transported over 100 million passengers, which is the first result in Asia and third in the world.

In response to the Chinese initiative “One Way”, the China Southern Airlines strengthens its route network in the Central Asia and tries to create one “Sky Silk Road”.

Uzbekistan, located in Central Asian was always the center of transportation, the airline pays great attention to development of routes. On 26 August 1992, the flight Urumqi and Tashkent was launched officially, soon the flights between Tashkent and Beijing. China Southern Airlines is an only airline of China, which flies to Uzbekistan.

Currently, the airline each week carries out four flights between China and Uzbekistan. The flights help to expand trade and cooperation between two nations.

The activities of the airline will help to political, economic and cultural exchanges, as well as friendship between two states, Xu Jian Min noted.

Director-general of the Representative Office of China Southern Airlines in Uzbekistan Fu Yun said that the flights of the China Southern Airlines between Uzbekistan and China use high demand. He said that the airline transported over 25,000 new passengers between Uzbekistan and China in 2014. He said that the airline is planning to increase number of passengers in 2015.

According to him, the airline plans to increase number of existing flights and use larger airplanes to transport between two states. Fu Yun added that the airline also considers opening flights to other cities of Uzbekistan.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China Sun Lijie said that China implements a project on rehabilitation of Great Silk Road, which envisages development of cooperation in transport and tourism.

He said that the project envisages establishment of relations between people. He said that Uzbekistan is one of the important countries of the Great Silk Road and plays key role in creation of the economic belt of the Great Silk Road. This opens new perspectives between Uzbekistan and China, the envoy said.

Sun Lijie underlined that China Southern Airlines and Uzbekiston Havo Yollari, executing flights between Uzbekistan and China, contribute to development of humanitarian and economic cooperation between two states, as well as growth of trade turnover.
