Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A few days left before the start of the grand event of the First International Bakhshi Art Festival, which will be held from 5 to 10 April in Termez.

The festival is expected to attend 170 foreign guests from 75 countries, including representatives of diplomatic corps, heads of international organizations, musicologists and experts in the field of Oriental culture and art, as well as representatives of foreign media.

In preparation for the event, the organizers are working on improvement and landscaping of the city, inventory and updating of accommodation facilities for participants and guests of the festival, installation of sanitary facilities in public places and much more.

At the moment, in Termez and in the suburban area there are 34 hotels with a total of 4,716 places. Of these, 29 are located in the city itself. Also, during the preparation for the event, 102 guest houses with a total number of 483 places were built in the city and surrounding areas.

To promote the tourist potential of Surkhandarya region among the guests of the Festival, the organizers prepared and published 22 thousand booklets and 1.5 thousand brochures in three languages about tourist attractions in the region, as well as more than 2 thousand tourist maps of Termez and Termez district.
