According to the resolution, the Uzbek leader prolonged customs preferences to enterprises, producing banking microprocessor plastic cards and POS-terminals on exemption from the customs payments (except customs clearance fees) for import of raw materials, consumables and components, materials, software, and licenses required for their production.

Processing Centers of retail payment systems also freed from payment of customs payments (except customs clearance fees) at import of software, ATMs and other equipment, used to conduct transactions with help of banking cards till 1 January 2020.

Uzbek President ordered the banking sector to introduce various credit products based on banking cards to purchase goods (services, works) for consumer needs.

The banks in cooperation with the trade-service organizations were entrusted to expand introduction of bonus, discount and promotion programmes directed at stimulating and increasing use of banking cards.
