Pre-election silence day enters in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Pre-election silence day before the presidential elections entered in Uzbekistan from 00:00 of 3 December 2016.

The legislation of Uzbekistan bans to conduct agitation in media or in other way from 3 December 2016.

According to the law “On elections of the President of Uzbekistan”, it is banned to publish polls of public opinion, forecasts on election results, other researches related to elections, including via internet, etc.

The observers also cannot ask from voters on their decisions at voting or assist to voters to make marks in the ballots.

Pre-election silence day will allow voters independently make their decision without feeling impact of pre-election agitation and decide to who he or she wants to vote.

All print agitation materials will be removed from public places, including polling stations. Violators can be attracted to administrative responsibility.
