Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 December, power plants in Uzbekistan generated 255.6 million kWh. 246.8 million kWh were supplied to consumers. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

To achieve this, 44.6 million cubic meters of natural gas, 17.5 thousand tons of coal and 11.7 thousand tons of fuel oil were burned at thermal power plants.

Natural gas consumption in Uzbekistan on 16 December amounted to 159.4 million cubic meters.

Methane gas stations in all regions continue to operate according to the schedule approved by local governments. Yesterday, 707 out of 1,204 methane gas stations receiving natural gas from Khududgaztminot JSC worked according to the established schedule.

To cover excess demand for gasoline and diesel fuel, fuel supplies to the regions of Uzbekistan have been increased. For example, yesterday Uzbekneftegaz supplied more than 2,600 tons of gasoline to all gas stations.

About 6.7 million cubic meters of natural gas and 700 tons of liquefied gas were supplied to existing methane filling stations.
