Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 8 June, from 10:00 to 18:00, a planned power outage will be carried out in certain parts of the Yashnabad, Bektemir and Chilanzar districts of Tashkent.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, this is due to the repair work aimed at ensuring a stable supply of electricity and preventing possible accidents on electrical networks.

Planned shutdowns will affect the following areas:

- In Bektemir district: "Iyk ota" mahalla, Marifat and Khurriyat streets, Oltintopgan street of "Oltintopgan" mahalla;

- In Yashnabad district: streets of Baku, Baysun, Gijduvan, Khovot, Marv, M. Ashrafi, 1st massif of Tuzel, Tsiolkovsky, Parkentskaya, Oltintepa, S. Azimov, Toytepa, Istikbol and Kashkadaryo;

- In Uchtepa district: Durbek streets, 4th Deadlock Durbek and Lochin mahalla "Sharq Yulduzi";

- In Chilanzar region: Nurkhon, Afshona and Kushchinor streets.

It is also reported that due to damage to the 35 kV high voltage cable at the Kokand substation, there will be a power outage in some parts of the Mirabad and Yakkasaray regions. Special emergency teams are already in place and are carrying out the necessary work.
