Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Approximately 47% of applicants failed to achieve the minimum passing score in the entrance exams for state universities in Uzbekistan.

The state exams, which lasted for 12 days, have concluded. This year, 737,300 applicants participated in the testing, which is 151,000 fewer compared to last year. A total of 65,200 candidates who had passes did not attend the exam, and 94 individuals were removed from the testing.

A total of 345,800 applicants, or 46.9% of the participants, failed to achieve the minimum passing score of 56.7 points.

The highest number of applicants came from the Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Ferghana regions.

The highest average scores were achieved by applicants from the Bukhara region (75.9 points), Tashkent (74.6 points), and the Ferghana region (69.9 points).

They are followed by Namangan region (68 points), Khorezm region (68 points), Navoi region (67.2 points), Samarkand region (67 points), Kashkadarya region (65.9 points), Jizzakh region (65.5 points), Surkhandarya region (64.7 points), Tashkent region (64 points), Andijan region (63.5 points), Karakalpakstan (63.3 points), and Syrdarya region (62.8 points).
