Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the Decision from 25 July 2024, the Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan approved the “Procedure for calculating and announcing the yield curve of government securities”

In order to investigate interest rates and macroeconomic expectations of financial market participants, to provide information on the relationship between debt obligations’ tenors and interest rates, and to help economic entities make investment decisions, the Central Bank has developed the Procedure for calculating and announcing the yield curve of government securities.

Based on this Procedure, from 1 September 2024, the yield curve of government securities will be announced weekly on the official website and social media pages of the Central Bank.

The yield curve is calculated based on data on the yield of government bonds issued by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Central Bank notes used for liquidity management

Theoretical Methodology for calculating the yield curve of government securities will be published on the official website of the Central Bank, and market participants will have the opportunity to independently calculate the yield curve based on the available data.

The yield curve can be used to estimate the market value of government securities and other instruments of the capital market, as well as to determine the risk parameters for operations with these instruments.
