Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, a 21-year-old man has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest for illegal trading of the cryptocurrency Notcoin.

The investigation revealed that G. Y. sold 20,000 Notcoin for US$150, using a Redmi Note 9 phone and a banking card.

In court, the defendant admitted his guilt. He claimed that he was unaware of the illegality of his actions and requested leniency.

The court in Tashkent found G. Y. guilty under Article 155-4 “Violation of Legislation on the Circulation of Crypto Assets” of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.

He was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest. The court also ordered the destruction of the Redmi Note 9 phone used in the offense.

Additionally, G. Y. will be required to cover the costs of his detention in a special facility. The court's decision can be appealed within ten days from its announcement.
