Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A meeting was held at the National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPP) with a delegation from the World Bank (WB) led by Chiu Niu, Head of the Target Group of the Global Program "Effective Management of Economic Development".

The sides discussed issues of developing cooperation between the World Bank and Uzbek organizations operating in the field of e-commerce. In particular, programs to support Uzbek companies on "Alibaba.com" were considered, as well as organizing the interaction of the WB with NAPP and the Statistics Agency to measure the volume of e-commerce, connecting small and medium-sized enterprises, and the public sector to global B2B platforms, analyzing legislative gaps, and developing measures to address them.

The parties agreed to establish close cooperation, develop, and approve a joint roadmap for the implementation of the aforementioned tasks on analyzing the e-commerce market in Uzbekistan, and prepare proposals for changes and additions to the legislation to develop this field.
