ASR, SchoolNet discuss mutual cooperation and innovative development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR) with representatives from the Indian company SchoolNet, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and sharing expertise in economic and industrial development.

The meeting was attended by Rustamkhon Azizov, Deputy Director of ASR, Ramireddi Chandra Reddy, CEO of SchoolNet, and other officials from both sides. The discussion centered on the future development and transformation of free industrial and economic zones in Uzbekistan, as well as successful Indian practices that could be adapted to the Uzbek context.

The Indian delegation presented a video showcasing a new free economic zone (FEZ) model that has proven successful in India. According to SchoolNet representatives, the FEZ covers 1,000 hectares and employs 600 people from nearby villages. Notably, 25% of the FEZ area is designated as a workers' recreational zone and is not industrialized. Additionally, the entire infrastructure operates entirely on eco-friendly resources. Today, the final price and quality of Indian-made apparel exported to the U.S. are comparable to those of Chinese products.

Special emphasis was placed on digitalization and innovative solutions that SchoolNet is actively implementing in its projects. Ramireddi Chandra Reddy shared specific examples from Indian practice that could accelerate the development of key sectors in the Uzbek economy.

Deputy Director Rustamkhon Azizov highlighted the importance of collaborating with companies like SchoolNet to achieve strategic goals in modernizing and developing Uzbekistan's free economic zones. He also noted that sharing expertise and implementing advanced technologies from India could significantly enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of Uzbek enterprises on the global stage.

This meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening the partnership between Uzbekistan and India, opening new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and innovative development.
