Largest share in passenger transportation fell to share of motor transport (97.9%). In passenger turnover, motor transport’s share made up 88.5%, the Uzbek statistics body said in its report.
Railway transport transported over 14 million people, which is up 8.2% year-on-year. Its share in passenger turnover rose by 5.3% to 2.609 billion passenger-km.
Air transport carried out 1.541 million people, which is up 1% year-on-year and passenger turnover comprised 4.918 billion passenger-km or 12.7% down year-on-year.
Transportation of passengers with trolleybuses (down 40.9%), trams (down 20.4%) and underground (down 7.3%) dropped in the reporting period.
