Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Internal audit services will be established within the structure of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as in the khokimiyats of regions and the city of Tashkent. This is stipulated by the President’s decree "On additional measures to strengthen financial control over the use of budgetary funds."

These services will be responsible for internal control and auditing of the use of budgetary funds.

The Accounting Chamber will be authorized to implement an internal control system to combat corruption in executive bodies at the local level and will oversee the effective functioning of this system.

State financial control authorities and internal audit services will include financial control and auditing activities in their annual work plans, which must be coordinated with the Accounting Chamber.

Additionally, state financial control authorities and ministries will have centralized rights to request information on the movement of budgetary funds and state debt from the Central Bank and commercial banks, enhancing the effectiveness and transparency of state financial management.

These steps are aimed at improving governance and preventing financial risks within the Uzbekistan state administration system.
