Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 June, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, who is in our country to hold events of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture.

At the beginning of the meeting, Adil Karimli conveyed sincere greetings and good wishes of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the ruler of our state.

Issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Azerbaijani strategic partnership relations, including in the priority humanitarian sphere, were considered.

The leader of our country noted with deep satisfaction the intensification of cultural exchange in recent years.

Since the beginning of this year, the Days of Science and Culture of Uzbekistan, the exhibition and premiere of the national ballet “Lazgi” have been successfully held in Baku.

As part of the Azerbaijani Culture Days that began today, a presentation of a book by the poet and thinker Muhammad Fuzuli took place. Exhibitions, theater performances and other events are also planned.

The importance of continuing intensive dialogue and a rich program of cultural events based on the “road map”, promoting joint initiatives and projects within the framework of international organizations such as UNESCO, TURKSOY and ICESCO was emphasized.
