Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Justice Akbar Tashkulov is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates.

As part of the visit, the Minister of Justice met with Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, First Deputy Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai International Arbitration Center and Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

At the beginning of the meeting, Akbar Tashkulov noted the strengthening of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE in recent years, the establishment of a close and constructive dialogue between the parliaments, governments, ministries and departments of our countries, as well as the creation of favorable conditions and guarantees for investment.

Tariq Humaid Al-Tayer emphasized that Uzbekistan is a reliable friend and time-tested partner, that relations between the two countries are rapidly developing and are mutually beneficial for our peoples. He also noted that Uzbekistan and the UAE have similar strategic goals and that the intergovernmental commissions of the two countries work very effectively. The adoption of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the two countries, in his opinion, will take these relations to a new level.

The Emirati side supported the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to create an international commercial court in Tashkent and expressed its readiness to assist in the effective creation of this court. Tariq Humaid Al-Tayer noted the importance of creating a high-quality legal framework and ensuring reliable protection of investors' capital to increase investment attractiveness, and also emphasized that such courts serve these purposes.

At the end of the meeting, Akbar Tashkulov expressed satisfaction with the close cooperation with the parliament and government of the UAE in the process of reforming legislation and justice carried out between the countries.
