Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has instructed to improve the electronic visa system and launch a mobile application.

During a sectoral meeting attended by the president, it was noted that this year it is necessary to hold international gastronomic festivals in Tashkent, and next year in Khiva, to popularize Uzbek national cuisine, which includes more than 300 dishes, worldwide.

Ministries and departments have been tasked with improving the electronic visa system and launching a mobile application.

It was emphasized that overall, industry and regional leaders will be responsible for attracting 11 million foreign tourists to Uzbekistan this year and increasing tourist exports to US$2.5 billion.
