Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin said that the International Transport Corridor “North-South” has three priority directions, covering 5 countries.

The first direction, western, extends through Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran.

The central direction covers the Caspian region.

The eastern direction covers Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

These areas are considered priorities for the next five years, Levitin noted.

The international transport corridor “North-South” is a multimodal route from St. Petersburg to the port of Mumbai (India) with a length of 7.2 thousand km.
