Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan condemned plans to “release” 10,000 plastic ducks in the New Uzbekistan park.

The news spread on social networks that on June 1, 10,000 plastic ducks are planned to be “released” on the beach of the lake in the New Uzbekistan park in Tashkent.

The ministry strongly condemned such actions and stated that such cases are punishable under the law.

The ministry reported that specialists went to the park to conduct explanatory work with officials. The park management was given a strict warning that such actions are a gross violation of the laws “On Nature Conservation” and “On Waste” and lead to liability.

The ministry urged parks and recreation officials to refrain from actions that harm the environment.

“Plastic products do not decompose for a long time and, in the form of waste, cause significant harm to the environment. Therefore, we call for protecting nature and keeping the environment clean for ourselves and our children!” - said the Ministry of Ecology.
