Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation led by the khokims of Shakhrisabz and Chirakchi districts of Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan visited the Chinese province of Guangdong, Dunyo news agency reports.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings with the leadership of the city of Dongguan, got acquainted with the activities of local enterprises and took part in B2B and G2B negotiations.

At a meeting with the leadership of Dongguan, one of the largest industrial centers in China, the parties agreed on cooperation between trade, economic and investment enterprises of the regions. In particular, it is planned to establish cooperation in the leather industry, the production of building materials and furniture, as well as develop joint projects and participate in exhibitions in these areas.

Members of the delegation visited the enterprises Tibao Auchehoa (production of leather goods and footwear), De Rucci Health Sleep (production of furniture and mattresses), Yourmoon Household (household appliances) and held negotiations on cooperation opportunities.

The management of Chinese enterprises was invited to visit the regions of Uzbekistan to get acquainted with investment projects and opportunities in the Kashkadarya region.

Khokim of Shakhrisabz district and executive director of Guangzhou Xilian Mineral Products Co. discussed the prospects for cooperation in the mining industry and signed a bilateral cooperation agreement. It was agreed to organize a visit to the Shakhrisabz district in July-August to study mineral deposits and launch production.

An agreement on strategic cooperation was also signed between Shakhrisabz district and the Canton Import-Export Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CECOC). This document will mark the beginning of close practical cooperation between Guangdong and Shakhrisabz enterprises and create new opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation.
