Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 May 22024, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Special Representative of Canada for Afghanistan David William Sproule.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbekistan-Canada relations in the Afghan direction, as well as promoting the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the country.

David Sproule highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to develop a consolidated regional position on Afghanistan, establish long-term peace and stability in the country, as well as provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.

An exchange of views took place on the issue of restoring the national economy of Afghanistan, as well as the prospects for involving this country in the process of regional connectivity.
