Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the exhibition, a delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat Association Mirsaid Zohidov, holds negotiations with foreign companies and associations in order to further expand bilateral trade and economic relations.

In particular, in a dialogue with the Confederation of International Footwear Associations (CIFA), the issue of establishing cooperation between the two organizations, introducing international standards and technologies at footwear production enterprises in Uzbekistan was discussed. Representatives of the international organization noted that Uzbekistan can use the confederation’s many years of experience to attract foreign brands.

At a meeting with the Cambodian Leather Industry Association, businessmen from the two countries discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of investment and export.

Also, the Association’s delegates held negotiations with companies from countries with a developed leather industry, such as China, India, Turkey and Italy. Indian companies Alpine and Discovery have expressed interest in purchasing finished leather and semi-finished leather products from Uzbekistan. The prospects for implementing joint projects with our domestic enterprises were discussed. The parties will discuss the possibilities of cooperation in more detail at the international exhibition UzCharmExpo-2024, which will be held in the fall in Tashkent.
