Uzbekistan signs a number of agreements with UK educational organizations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the Minister of Preschool and School Education Hilola Umarova, signed a number of agreements with educational organizations in the UK within the framework of the World Education Forum in London.

At the 20th meeting of the World Education Forum, which was attended by 130 ministers and deputy ministers from more than 100 countries, as well as representatives of various educational organizations and prestigious companies, the delegation of Uzbekistan held bilateral negotiations with heads and representatives of educational companies from different countries.

As a result of these meetings, agreements were signed with universities and organizations such as Pearson, QAA, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, AQA, Times Higher Education, University of Portsmouth, Norwich Institute of Language Education, University of Wolverhampton and others, Dunyo news agency reports.

An agreement was signed between the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Pearson organization to cooperate in improving the assessment system in schools, as well as providing technical assistance in improving the qualifications of teachers and principals.

An agreement was reached with the University of Portsmouth on the training of teaching staff, and agreements were concluded with the NILE organization that provide opportunities for continuous professional development for the management and teaching staff of 65 innovative schools in the republic.

There was also a meeting with the head of the department of European, Central Asian and Pakistani educational cooperation at University Press and Assessment, Steve King, during which a bilateral document was signed between the Center for the Development of Digital Education and Cambridge.

As a result of negotiations with the vice-presidents of the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Amy Cardel and Jason Moss, a trilateral cooperation program was signed between CompTIA, the IT Education Association and AMITY University in Tashkent.

There was also a meeting with the founder of the IT company CleverDucks, Peter Cardel, at which HQ’s Zero Risk projects for entering the CIS market through Uzbekistan were discussed in accordance with the company’s expansion strategy.
