A unified electronic register of the population will be introduced in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Decree of the President “On further increasing the responsibility and forming a compact management system of justice bodies and institutions within the framework of administrative reforms”, a unified electronic register of the population, which includes the civil status of individuals and their other personal data, will be created from 1 January 2025.

The introduction of a unified electronic population register in Uzbekistan represents a significant step in digitalization and improvement of the civil data management system. This registry, which includes civil status data of individuals and other personal data, will serve as an important tool for improving the delivery of public services and increasing the efficiency of administrative processes.

Integration of the register with the information systems of various government bodies and organizations will simplify and speed up the processes of interaction between them. It also facilitates faster and more accurate processing of information when providing various services to citizens, such as notarial acts, banking, utilities and insurance.

It is important to note that the protection of citizens’ personal data should be a priority when implementing and using such systems. Guarantees of confidentiality and security of information play a key role in ensuring confidence in the system and protecting the rights of citizens.

The Ministry of Justice’s Personalization Agency will play an important role in managing this registry, ensuring it is up to date, reliable and secure.

Overall, the implementation of a unified electronic population register in Uzbekistan represents significant progress in improving administrative processes and improving the quality of public services for citizens.
