Crossover Exeed Exlantix ET dropped from 32 m as part of a crash test (video)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The premium automobile brand EXEED conducted an unusual test of the Exlantix ET electric car. Tests took place in China.

During this experiment, an electric car was lifted to a height of 32 meters (comparable to the height of a 10-story building) using a crane and then dropped down.

The car fell onto a specially prepared steel plate 4 centimeters thick, hitting its front end. According to the organizers’ calculations, at the moment of contact the speed of the electric car exceeded 90 km/h.

The video of the test shows that the front end of the Exlantix ET was heavily damaged down to the A-pillars. However, the deformation of the A-pillars was insignificant, and the crossover doors were able to be opened without any problems. All airbags deployed normally.

Ten minutes after the fall, experts examined the electric car and found no damage to the battery that could lead to a fire: the power supply was automatically turned off at the moment of impact. No technical fluid leaks were detected either.

EXEED EXLANTiX ET is a crossover available in three versions. The first two versions are equipped with a single 252 hp electric motor mounted on the rear axle and 66 and 79.9 kWh batteries, which provide a range of 550 and 650 km, respectively.

The third version is a more powerful rear-wheel drive version with a 313 hp engine. and a 97.6 kWh battery, thanks to which the range increases to 760 km.

The top all-wheel drive model has two electric motors with a total power of 561 hp. and offers a range of 655 km.

The interior is equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel and separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system. Despite its impressive dimensions - a length of almost 5 meters and a wheelbase of 3 meters - the car is designed for only five seats.

The crossover has a bright design with a long hood and a minimal number of stiffeners. Modern LED optics are located on both sides of the bumper, and an additional section is capable of creating multi-colored patterns.

Features of the Exeed Exlantix ET include hidden door handles that improve aerodynamic performance and give the car a futuristic look. All doors are frameless, a spoiler is installed on the roof, and there is also a rear diffuser. The design is made in a futuristic-minimalistic style.

The interior of the electric crossover also follows the principles of minimalism. The oval-shaped steering wheel, a minimum of physical buttons, and the absence of a traditional center console create a feeling of spaciousness. The instrument panel and multimedia system display are installed to create a floating effect.
