Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An interim meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASD) to discuss the project “Analysis of the public administration system in Uzbekistan” with representatives of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The meeting was attended by First Deputy Director of the ASR Abdulla Abdukadirov, experts from the OECD Department of Public Administration Adam Ostry, Kapusin Kerboas, Simon Calvert, Ivan Stola, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Civil Service Development Agency.

At the meeting with OECD experts, preliminary analytical materials on strategic planning in Uzbekistan were discussed. Foreign experts also got acquainted with the system of interdepartmental cooperation in Uzbekistan, as well as the main functions and tasks of the Agency for Strategic Reforms.

OECD experts said that during this mission it is expected to hold negotiations with relevant ministries and departments, as well as discuss issues of civil service, gender principles in strategic planning, and regulatory processes.

As part of cooperation in this direction, it was decided that ASR, together with the Ministry of Justice, will review the final version of the project. The OECD, in turn, will present recommendations based on international experience aimed at improving the public administration system in the form of an analytical report in September this year.
